What is the GreenBookHealth directory?

The GreenBookHealth is a worldwide directory of healthcare marketing research companies and focus group facilities. As a guide for buyers of healthcare marketing research services, it is designed to quickly and confidently identify suitable suppliers of those services. Since every company listed in the directory pays for their advertising, the GreenBookHealth is the most reliable and useful reference resource dedicated to the marketing research industry.

Available online, in print, and on CD-ROM, the GreenBookHealth is made up of two volumes: Volume I - Directory Marketing Research Companies and Volume II - Directory of Focus Group Companies.

The GreenBookHealth directory is published by New York AMA Communication Services, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of the New York American Marketing Association. Newly redesigned, the GreenBookHealth website features the entire directory in a user-friendly and interactive format. Multiple search options deliver accurate and relevant results quickly, including email and web links. A "Request For Information" tool is also available.

On CD-ROM:
The CD-ROM includes all 880 pages of GreenBookHealth's two printed volumes. It combines interactivity (active email and web links, search features) with the practical layout of the print edition (including print display advertising). 15,000 copies of the GreenBookHealth CD-ROM are distributed and sold.

No. For one price, your listing will be included in the online, print, and CD-ROM editions. Most of the medium-specific advertising features, such as print display ads or sponsored online positions, now appear across multiple formats, significantly increasing listers' exposure. For example, print display ads also appear on CD-ROM and sponsored online positions appear both in print and on CD-ROM.

How long does my listing remain in the directory?

You can become an advertiser in the GreenBookHealth directory at any time during the year. The listing will immediately appear online at www.gbhealth.org and will be included in the next print edition (published and mailed in February), and on the GreenBookHealth CD-ROM (in the spring). Online listings are active for at least 12 months or until the next renewal period (September and October), whatever is longer. For example, if you become a lister in May, your listing won't expire until the next fall.

Choose the 'a la carte' method to take advantage of the full array of listing enhancements and advertising features available in the GreenBookHealth to customize your company listing. With this option, you are able to select as many or as little advertising features as you like. If you are unsure what listing options are best for you, and you are new to the GreenBookHealth consider purchasing an Express Package. These two options cannot be combined.

What is an Express Package?

Designed for new listers to help you get started, our convenient packages will give you the best possible exposure, in print, online, and on the CD-ROM for the best price. Express Packages simplify the sign-up process by pre-selecting a combination of listing features: a Basic Listing and a number of Research Categories. You save up to 20% of what you would pay if you were to buy the Basic Listing and Research Categories individually.

The categories that you choose will describe your firm's areas of specialization or expertise, so make sure to select a package that allows you to enter all the Research Categories you need. If you have a qualitative division or provide focus group services, choose one of the focus group packages, which also include a Basic Listing in Volume II.

Can I make changes to my listing after it is posted?

Yes, you can make changes to your listing at any time throughout the year except during the renewal period (September and October). At that particular time, you are welcome to email the GreenBookHealth staff at info@gbhealth.org to request any changes in writing. We will gladly update your listing. You can change content of your company description or any other basic information as well as purchase additional enhancements. These items will be pro-rated if purchased at a later time (after the renewal period). To make a change or an update, simply login into your account.

Can I save my work and come back later?

When creating a new listing, you can log off at any time and save the information and choices made. You will automatically receive an email with your new account number, password, and a link to log on again at a later time. To submit a finalized new listing or an update, you always have to go through the "Check Out". If you just log off and don't check out, any changes made will not be applied.

Is it possible to update my listing?

Yes, it's possible to make updates and additions to your online listing throughout the year. Any changes will be saved for the next year's edition. To update your listing, click on the Lister Login link near the top of the screen, on the right hand side. After entering the company ID and password, click on "Update Listing". Be sure to follow all the prompts at the bottom of each page. If you forget your company ID # and password, all you have to do is call us at 800.792.9202 (+1.212.849.2752), and a member of the GreenBookHealth staff will be able to help you. Remember, while the company ID # is automatically generated by our website, you can always change your password to something you can easily remember.

Can I save my work and come back later?

When renewing a listing, you can log off at any time saving the changes and additions that you made. You will be able to log on again at a later time. To submit a finalized listing or an update during the year, you always have to go through the "Check Out". If you just log off and don't check out, your listing will not be renewed and any changes made will not be applied to the listing as it appears in the directory.

Can I renew a listing that has expired or lapsed?

Yes. If you forgot to renew and missed being included in the GreenBookHealth print edition, you can still use your original company ID # and password to renew your listing for the next directory edition. There is no need to create a completely new account. Use the Lister Login link on our home page and follow the prompts. After entering the company ID # and password, click the "Renew Listing" link to get started.

What are the requirements for a print logo?

Requirements for an online logo and a print logo are very different. What is acceptable online will not reproduce well in the printed version. Due to size restrictions, most print logos cannot be uploaded onto the website. Please email the file with your print logo to rbraccini@gbhealth.org. The following are the required specifications for a print logo:

File formats: .tif or .eps
Dimensions: 2.5" wide X 1" high
Resolution: 600 dpi (black only) or 266 dpi (halftones or converted from color)
Maximum file size: 20K (when uploaded)
Mode: grayscale

Can I use my online logo in the printed directory?

We cannot use the same file for a print logo and an online logo. A logo that was uploaded to display online is not suitable for the print directory because a computer screen has a much lower resolution than a printed publication. Since we would like your print logo to be displayed in the highest quality possible, we require that you submit two different logos following the specifications.

Why doesn't my logo appear in my listing?

If you upload a logo file and it is not displaying properly (you will see a small box with a red "x" in the center), your file probably does not match the specifications. Only .jpeg or .gif files will be accepted online and you must keep the resolution at 72 dpi. If you are having difficulty manipulating size or resolution, you can email the file to rbraccini@gbhealth.org and request assistance.

Can I upload a print or online logo later?

If you are still preparing to get your logo file(s) ready during the renewal period, we suggest that you make the necessary additions/changes to your listing and then "log off" before coming back to upload the file(s). If you "check out" (instead of "log off"), you will not be able to go back in to upload the logos. Or, you can just email the logos to our production manager at rbraccini@gbhealth.org and we will add the logos for you.

Advertising in the GreenBookHealth directory can be purchased with a credit card, check or wire transfer. Once payment is received, all purchases or listings upgrades will be approved and posted within three business days. If you are paying with a check, please be sure to make it payable to "NYACS" (New York AMA Communication Services). Do NOT make it payable to "GreenBookHealth".

Whether you're searching for a particular marketing research service or just browsing the directory, we can help. Simply enter a few words into the keyword search box, and we will show you all matching results. Always use the drop-down menu to restrict your query to a particular type of search.

If you're not sure exactly what you're looking for, use the Advanced Search or Research Categories pages to browse by company name, research services, and locations. There, you can limit your search to solely focus group companies, or to search for a combination of criteria.

The search results display a list of companies that match your criteria. You can click on a company name to view its full description including branch offices, research services provided, special products and services, and online resources available on its own web site.

In the same page, additional options are available:
–   Modify Search: takes you to the previous screen with your original
     search criteria pre-filled.
–   New Search: takes you to the input screen with all search fields empty.
–   Quick Search, Advanced Search, and Search By Name are also available.

How do I use the Keyword Search?

Find Marketing Research Companies & Services

First, select a type of search based on what you are looking for: Research Services or Company name or Location. Second, enter your search item (keyword). A selection from the "Type of search" drop-down menu, as well as entering a search item, is both required from the user.

–   Type of search - Research Services: The search results display a list of
     research categories that are associated with the entered search item (keyword)
     followed by a list of companies within each category. This is followed by a list of
     companies that contain the search item (keyword) in their company description.

–   Type of search - Company Name: The search results display a list of possible
     matches, including main company offices and branch offices.

–   Type of search - Location: The search results display a list of possible matche
     based on the city and/or state and/or country for both main company offices and
     branch offices. If there are no results for a city, the search results will display
     companies in that state/province/country.

Find Focus Group Companies & Services

First, select a state/province/country from the drop-down list. Although entering a city is not mandatory, it can help narrow down your search. Second, enter a city. You must choose a state/province/country.

The search results display a list of possible matches based on the state/province/country and/or city for both main company offices and branch offices. If there are no results for a city, the search results will display focus group companies from that state/province/country.

What if my keyword search doesn't return any results?

You can modify the search term in the keyword search box or you can use Power Search (to select Research Categories from drop-down menus or to enter a Location). Please review the keyword search tips below:

Keyword Search Tips
Double-check your spelling.
Keep it simple. For best results, use only one or two words.
Do not use more than three words.
You don't need to capitalize or pluralize words.
It is not necessary to use "and" to link related words.
Do not use quotation marks.

What is Advanced Search?

Unlike the keyword search, Advanced Search allows you to select your search criteria (for example a research category or a location) from a drop-down menu. It makes possible to combine multiple search criteria.
